Description of the Top dog Prize

All members of Club Barbet Canada are eligible for the Top Dog Award.

Club Barbet Canada first awarded the Top Dog award in 2011, a year after obtaining national status.

The prize is awarded each year to the Barbet that has earned the most points in Conformation, in a calendar year. Points are calculated according to the Canadian Kennel Club guidelines.

The award is presented to the winning owner/dog, during the Club Barbet National Specialty. In the years that that the Specialty is not held, awards are given out at the Annual General Meeting. The award is mailed to recipients who are unable to receive it in person.
